Denied is a screen-time app for iPhone published by WebKoding (support@webkoding.com). It locks apps you choose and asks you to say a reason out loud before it lets you in. There is no account and no login. We run no advertising and no cross-app tracking, and we do not sell personal data.
When you make your case, the app sends the text of what you said, the name of the app you are asking for (as shown on its lock screen), the gatekeeper character you chose and today's attempt counts to our gatekeeper service. The service forwards the text to a third-party AI model (Google Gemini) to produce the verdict and the reply, then returns them to the app. An anonymous device identifier is sent so we can apply a daily request limit and prevent abuse; it is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID and is not used for advertising. The text of your excuses is not stored on our server after the reply is produced, and is not used to train any model by us.
Denied Pro is sold through Apple's App Store; we never see your payment details. We use Adapty for subscription analytics, which receives purchase events and the same anonymous device identifier — never your excuses or your locked apps.
The app uses Firebase Analytics to count events such as "onboarding completed", "paywall viewed" or "verdict granted". These events carry no excuse text and no app names, are tied to an anonymous installation identifier, and are used only to understand how the app is used. Advertising features of Firebase are disabled.
Denied asks for Screen Time access (to lock and unlock apps), the microphone and speech recognition (to hear your excuse) and notifications (to bring you back to the app after you tap the lock screen). Each can be revoked in iOS Settings; the corresponding feature stops working.
Denied is for personal device management by the person using the phone. It is not a parental-control product and is not directed at children under 13.
Because we hold no account and no identifiable record of you, the practical way to exercise deletion is to delete the app. For any support correspondence, WebKoding is the data controller; in the EU/EEA or the UK you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
